Perched high on Queenstown Hill, this home with its contemporary design faces south to take full advantage of 180 degree lake views. The client was after a 3 bedroom low maintenance holiday home that maximised stunning Lakes views on their steep site on the side of Lake Wakatipu. The guest wing was to be separated for privacy and to stretch the home over the length of the site. The V-shaped layout allows the home to capture as much daylight as possible to help heat it, and provides views of the Frankton Arm and Queenstown bay. The expansive ceiling heights, modern lines and extensive deck, combined with the coloursteel tray cladding and plaster finish, fitted the brief perfectly.
