But this clever design does just that, by stealing light via a cunning living room annex, positioned behind the street-facing garage. The room is glazed at both ends, with doors allowing access to both a courtyard area and to the stunning views from the deck. The deck is shared by the kitchen, creating a year-round entertainment zone, complete with scullery and wine fridge.
