The tricky location was no problem for this clever, ultra-contemporary home. Clad in vertical black cedar, the upper living cantilevers out at an 85 degree angle, making the most of the elevation and views, while the lower bedroom level is sculpted into the steep contours of the land. Extensive glazing opens the interior to sweeping views. Innovative sliding slatted screens on the living level filter the light and help provide privacy. The garage is viewed as a separate pod and is distinguished with a white monolithic plaster finish.
