The ultimate in family living is set to be on display in one of Taupo’s newest subdivisions as David Reid Homes Taupo prepares to open the doors of their latest showhome.
Director Scott Hare says the home has been designed with a vision to showcase a range of different options available to those looking to design and build their next home in Taupo.
“We’re featuring a number of different design options; such as different tapware options, thicker carpet in the living areas than in the bedrooms and both laminate and vinyl options in different parts of the house to show people that there are lots of options depending on their budget and what they like,” he says.
Some of the highlights of the home include the raked ceilings in the living areas, bold and spacious kitchen and bathrooms and feature walls with different tones and textures.
A 3-metre easement and 5 metre setbacks needed to be taken into account when building on the corner section, meaning careful design was required to maximise the space available on the site.
This is an important aspect Scott and his team focus on to ensure their clients get the best out of their section including layout of their house, views and sunlight.
The entranceway acts as a junction for the home, separating the bedroom, bathroom, laundry and garage from the open plan kitchen, dining and living area.
Located at the entrance of Nga Roto Estate, the home is about a four minute drive from Taupo’s town centre, and close to the Lions Walk, or Great Lake Walkway.
“It’s a very short walk to the lake and it’s in the zone for a great school, Waipahihi Primary; Nga Roto Estate will be a nice family friendly area,” co-owner Melissa Hare says.
Sections in the subdivision have proven to be very popular.
Since taking over the David Reid Homes Taupo franchise in August last year, Scott and Melissa have seen a lot of interest from people looking to build in the Taupo region.
“Taupo is a great holiday destination as well as a fantastic community to live in,” Melissa says.
This exceptional new showhome in Taupo is set to open this weekend, on December 1 from 11am until 4pm. Following the opening it will be open to view daily from 11am until 3pm, at 11 Kara Place, Nga Roto Estate, Taupo.
