Experience the new in Wanaka, Central Otago

For this month’s We Love New testimonial, Colleen and John showed us their beautiful new home based in Wanaka, Central Otago.

Colleen and John loved working with the David Reid Homes Wanaka team. They thought they stood out from other builders they approached because they listened to all their ideas and met their brief, meaning they got everything they wanted in their dream home. Colleen and John love their new home and believe the David Reid Homes team ‘achieved something marvelous’.

The farming couple, who have been married for over 50 years, explained that they ‘thought if we don’t do it now, we’ll be getting too old, so that was the reason to give up a nice home (and) come to a nicer home.’ They were able to build a great and trusting relationship with the David Reid Homes Wanaka team and Colleen simply stated ‘I wouldn’t attempt to build a house unless I had somebody like David Reid working for me…I just wouldn’t.’

Colleen and John each have their favourite part of the house; Colleen’s is her new kitchen with soft closing doors and a scullery, and John’s is the lounge area which he loves to relax in after a long day in the Central Otago sun. Even their dog has his favourite spot lying in the sun next to the big bay window in the lounge.

Elements have been tastefully chosen to compliment one another and elevate the stunning Wanaka home from beautiful dark cladding to unique timber features, concrete flooring and a Master Ensuite with twin basins and floor-to-ceiling tiling.
