Experience the new in Taupo

In this month's "We Love New" testimonial, we join Judy and Alan, who built their new 218 sqm house with David Reid Homes on the edge of Lake Taupo.

Having purchased the land in 2019, Alan used the time spent in lockdown to start the design process for what was initially envisaged to be a holiday home. Alan was very involved in the design and states, "Building new gives you the option to tick off a wish list of what you really want”.

Alan was initially worried that his constant design changes would start to grate with the David Reid Homes team but quickly found that this is the value of building new with a team that appreciates the attention to detail.

The house won the Regional Supreme House of the Year for Bay of Plenty & Central Plateau in the 2022 Master Builders' "House of the Year" and was built by Scott Hare and his team at David Reid Homes Taupo.

The house design was incredibly well thought out and executed, making the most of the space and the stunning views over the lake that can be enjoyed from every vantage point in the home living areas.
