Expert Guidance feature of DRH Team

Friday, 27 March 2009

Around 100 homes throughout Otago have been built under the expert guidance of the team at David Reid Homes (Dunedin) Ltd since the franchise began operating in 2003.
The company employs only experienced tradesmen and administration people to help clients attain a home they can feel justifiably proud of.
Leading the team are proprietors Lindsay and Lynda Roberts.  Lindsay, a director of the company and project manager, is a “true master builder”.  He is a well-known figure in local building circles, having accumulated more than 50 years experience building in Dunedin.
Lynda handles administration and is the contracts manager.  She brings a wealth of experience to the position, with a background of nearly 40 years in administration and accounting before working at DRH.
The DRH Dunedin franchise employs six qualified builders and four apprentices as well as two labourers/site support workers.  Two of the foreman builder, Jeff Uren and Grant Beel, are also shareholders in the business.
Suzanne Edginton brings to the team 10 years sales experience climbing up the ranks to sales manager.    Needing a new challenge she took on a role as a consultant in the building industry selling power tools and fastenings to builders and sub trades.  Her instant passion and fascination of house construction led her to a role as a consultant, but through listening to clients and their confusion with the industry she started her own business as an Independent Consultant.  Her goal was to work for clients to get the best quality, pricing and service by comparing companies and options with plans she had designed for her clients.  After completing several projects, she soon realized that all her clients’ needs could be met by David Reid Homes, so she joined the team knowing that her future clients will be more than happy with the experience, expertise and in today’s market, the guarantees and reassurance that David Reid Homes Dunedin will be around for a long time to come.
Subcontractors have worked with the DRH Dunedin team for years, developing a good working relationship.  “They know how we work and how we want things done and the standard we expect and it creates a much smoother process,” noted Lynda.
With such a dedicated and committed team, you can be confident your future home is in good hands.
